Enable cross-site tracking on Safari to complete Axure prototype tasks
Enable cross-site tracking on Safari to complete Axure prototype tasks
Updated over a week ago

If you've been directed to this help article, you've likely participated in a research study, and been asked to turn on "cross-site tracking" to complete a task on your Safari browser. Cross-site tracking allows us to load an interactive prototype that we want to show you as part of the study.

To participate in this task, you need to turn on Cross-site tracking in your browser settings, and then return to the task. The prototype will then load, so that you can complete the task.

Turn on cross-site tracking on a desktop device

If you're accessing the study from a desktop device, such as a laptop, you can turn on cross-site tracking by:

  1. Make sure you're viewing this window in the Safari browser app.

  2. Move your mouse to the top left corner, and select Safari > Settings:

  3. Click Privacy, and make sure Prevent cross-site tracking is unchecked:

Go back to your Safari browser app, and navigate back to the browser tab where you were completing the study so that you can continue the task, which should now load automatically.

Turn on cross-site tracking on a mobile device

If you're accessing the study from a mobile device, such as your phone or a tablet, you can turn on cross-site tracking by:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your mobile device.

  2. Scroll down to Safari, scroll further down to Prevent cross-site tracking and make sure this setting is turned off:

Go back to your Safari browser app, and navigate back to the browser tab where you were completing the study so that you can continue the task, which should now load automatically.
